Damascus Countryside, SANA – A 33-meter-tall Christmas tree was lit up on Friday evening at Our Lady of Saidnaya Monastery, in addition to opening a 400-square meters nativity scene, the biggest in the Arab world.
The event was accompanied by dance performances by children to the tune to Christmas songs, as well as reciting poetry about the birth of Christ, and coexistence and tolerance in Syrian society.
