Damascus, SANA- Speaker of the People’s Assembly Hammoudah Sabbagh affirmed the importance of visits paid by European delegations to Syria to convey to world public opinion the reality of the Syrian suffering from international terrorism and unilateral coercive measures imposed on the country.
Sabbagh, meeting French former Minister and member of parliament Thierry Mariani and an accompanying delegation, pointed out to the role of some European countries in supporting terrorism and turning a blind eye to the flow of terrorists from their countries to Syria.
For his part, Mariani said that through his several visits to Syria , he has been able to inspect the reality of situation in Syria, contrary to what is being marketed through the Western media outlets.
He expressed regret over the stance of his country’s government towards Syria , describing its politics as “not good.”
