Tal Qartal power substation and Jandar line put into service in Hama

Hama, SANA – The Tal Qartal power substation in Hama, which has a capacity of 300 MW, was put into service on Monday, along with the Hama 2 (Jandar) 400 KV power line.

Jandar line is linked to Tal Qartal substation and transfers electricity from the southern region to the central, northern, and coastal areas.

Speaking to SANA’s reporter, Electricity Minister Zuhair Kharbotli said that the project of the substation and the line cost more than SYP 10 billion, and that 600 Kilovolt-amps (kVA) will be transmitted via this project which will ensure stability of the power grid in the central, northern, and coastal areas.
