Weapons and ammo seized in Homs northern countryside

Homs, SANA – Amounts of weapons, ammo, landmines, and IEDS were seized by authorities in the northern countryside of Homs province.

SANA’s reporter said that a large amount of explosive materials, weapons, miscellaneous ammo, and IEDs, as well as machineguns, locally-made rockets, improvised cannons known as “Hell cannons,” and protective masks were discovered during sweeping operations in Tir Maala and al-Dar al-Kabira towns in the northern countryside of Homs.

The sweeping operations will continue till clearing all the northern countryside from the weapons, ammo, and explosives left behind by terrorists to ensure the safe return of the area’s inhabitants, the reporter added.

Last Wednesday, the northern countryside of Homs was declared clear of terrorism after evacuating terrorists to northern Syria.
