Al-Yazigi: Tourism Ministry will promote and service tourist sites in Hama

Hama, SANA – Tourism Minister Bishr al-Yazigi toured a number of sites and areas that can be used to host tourist investments in al-Ghab and Masyaf areas.

Accompanied by Hama Governor Mohammad al-Hazouri, al-Yazigi visited al-Bared River’s spring and al-Waraqa area in Mastaf, in addition to al-Zawi and al-Luqba falls, Abu Qubais area, Salhab Hospital project, a workshop for raising silkworms in Deir Mama town, and a number of sites in al-Uyun Valley area.

In a statement to journalists, al-Yazigi said that Hama’s western countryside is rife with tourist sites that can support the tourism sector in the province with the right investment, affirming the Ministry’s readiness to provide all services and take steps to revitalize and promote these sites.

He called for focusing on small projects like small hotels and restaurants, noting that Abu Qubais area is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the area and it beeds more promotion and services, and the same goes for al-Zawi and al-Luqba falls.
