Moscow, SANA- Russian Defense Ministry said that Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization in Syria has obtained Man-Portable Air Defense (MANPAD) systems and is using them to target warplanes.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Russian Defense Ministry said that it’s working to investigate channels of delivery of MANPAD systems to al-Nusra in Syria and determine the type of these systems accurately.
The Ministry expressed concern over al-Nusra gaining MANPAD systems that may be used not only in Syria and not only against warplanes.
