Need to bolster Syrian-Belarus friendly ties stressed

Damascus Countryside, SANA-Belarus Ambassador in Damascus, Alexander Ponomarev, stressed the necessity of bolstering the historical relations and communication between Syria and Belarus in all domains.

The Ambassador’s speech came during receiving, along with Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Rima Qadiri, the Syrian Children returning from the Children’s Winter Camp in the city of Zubrionok in Belarus at Jdaidet Yabous on Monday.

Ponomarev stressed importance of those camps in enhancing the physical and mental development of children through various school activities and briefing children on the education systems, scientific and cultural achievements in Belarus.

In a statement to reporter, Qadiri said that the camps conveyed a message that despite the war waged on Syria, attention has been paid to children, who, by their spontaneity and intelligence, raised the Syrian flag in the international circles.

For their parts, a number of the winner children expressed pleasure over taking part in this experience which is full of knowledge, education and expertise.

Some 170 Syrian youths, aged between 13 and 18 years old, are participating in the Camp which was held at the National Children’s Educational Health-Improving Center (Zubrenok) in Belarus.
