Ten trucks provided to Aleppo City Council by UNHCR

Aleppo, SANA- Aleppo City Council received ten trucks provided by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in the framework of joint cooperation to improve the service situation of the Province.

The aim of providing trucks to Aleppo City Council is to help accelerate the rehabilitation and maintenance of areas and provide assistance to Aleppo residents who had returned to their homes, UNHCR representative in Syria Sajad Malik said.

He added that the UNHCR, in cooperation with Aleppo Governorate, is implementing a number of projects, including rehabilitating schools and health centers and installing solar lighting for streets.

In Turn, Aleppo Governor Hussein Diab said that the trucks will be used in services such as cleaning, maintenance and removing rubble, due to the fact that most of the vehicles of Aleppo City Council were destroyed by acts of terrorism.
