Beirut, SANA- Participants in the Emergency Session of the Central Council of the International Confederation of Arab Trade Unions (ICATU) , held with the participation of the General Federation of Trade Unions in Syria, called for uniting ranks to confront US President Donald Trump’s decision on recognizing al-Quds as the capital of the Israeli occupation.
The session was held at headquarters of the General Labor Union in Lebanon on Wednesday under the title “Together for al-Quds, the Eternal Capital of Palestine.”
The participants also clarified that the decision of the US President is an extension of Balfour Declaration, calling for an active popular move led by the Arab laborers and to demonstrate before the US embassies to convey a message to the whole world that the Arab nation will not be subjugated.
For his part, Chairman of the General Federation of Trade Unions in Syria (GFTU), Jamal al-Qadiri, said that the unsuccessful attempts to destroy Yemen and Libya, divide Syria and to target the security of Egypt are just an introduction for today’s decisions and conspiracies against the sanctities and capabilities of the nation and for sowing sedition among its spectrums.
He affirmed that Syria has confronted a terrorist project and it overcame it thanks to the resilience of its people, the sacrifices of its army and the wisdom of its leadership and it has been able to defeat the US-Zionist project.
