Moscow, SANA – Russian Defense Ministry said on Thursday that over 98% of Syrian territory that was controlled by Daesh (ISIS) has been restored, adding that Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed over 1320 positions for the terrorists.
The Russian Aerospace Forces carried out 530 combat sorties in Syria during a week, the Krasnaya Zvezda (Red Star) news outlet, the official newspaper of the Russian Defense Ministry, reported.
It added that Tu-22M3 long-range bombers hit terrorist targets in Deir Ezzor province.
In another context, Lieutenant General Sergei Kurylenko, representative of the command of the Russian forces operating in Syria, said the Russian and Iranian groups of the joint Iranian-Russian –Turkish Coordination Centre held a working meeting to finalize the locations of observation posts of the control forces to monitor ceasefire observation in the Idleb de-escalation zone.
