Damascus, SANA- Features of the comprehensive national plan for reconstruction process in Syria has been set on Thursday during a special meeting of the Reconstruction Committee, headed by Prime Minister Imad Khamis.
During the meeting which was held at Ministry of Local Administration and Environment, the participants outlined a comprehensive national vision for the reconstruction of Syria based on limiting the damage and characterizing it through an integrated database and prioritizing the work, which will contribute to rebuilding infrastructure and fortifying the steadfastness of the state.
The participants asserted the need for the formation of specialized committees including all national components to develop a clear and comprehensive working vision in addition to studying ways to secure the necessary funding either by attracting the private sector in reconstruction projects or through opening channels with friendly countries to attract effective investments and develop legislations that provide a sound working environment for the committee.
For his part, Premier Khamis pointed out to the importance of developing a new vision for the work of the reconstruction committee to rehabilitate the main production factors in different provinces.
He said that the priority in the work of the committee will be given to support and rehabilitate areas where the Syrian Arab Army has restored security and stability to, most importantly is the city of Deir Ezzor in line with the implementation of the comprehensive economic, social, cultural and service plan set by the government to secure the needs of the city’s citizens of various food and health items and oil productions.
