Aid from Armenia distributed at Armenian Orthodox Diocese in Damascus

Damascus, SANA – A fourth batch of aid sent by the Armenian people was distributed at the Armenian Orthodox Diocese in Damascus.

During the distribution of the aid, Bishop Armash Nalbandian, Primate of the Armenian Church of Damascus, said that the Armenian people stand alongside the Syrian people in the battle against terrorism, and that they wish for peace and, security, and safety to return to Syria.

Bishop Nalbandian said that this batch of aid was sent upon directives from Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.

He pointed out that the Diocese is working with the Armenian Embassy in Damascus, the Syrian-Armenian Friendship Association at the People’s Assembly, and Armenian cultural societies in Syria to distribute the aid among the families of martyrs and displaced people in several areas including Aleppo, Lattakia, Damascus, and Homs.
