Chinese President affirms in telephone call with Trump that solving crisis in Syria should be through political means

Beijing, SANA- Chinese President Xi Jinping called for adopting the political solution to the crisis in Syria.

In a telephone call with his US counterpart Donald Trump on Wednesday, President Jinping said that China supports solving the crisis in Syria through political means and this solution must be adhered to.

The Chinese President expressed hope that the Security Council will be able to maintain the unified stance towards the crisis in Syria, indicating that chemical weapons mustn’t be used by any party.
