Provinces, SANA-The army continued on Monday military operations agaisnt terrorists in the Syrian provinces, inflicting heavy losses on them in personnel and equipment.
Hama
Army units aided by the popular defense groups thwarted Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists’ attack on military posts in Salamiyeh Countryside.
SANA reporter in Hama said that the army bombarded movements of Jabhat al-Nusra-linked terrorists behind al-Beit al-Saudi in al-Satehiyat area, about 10 km west of Salamiyeh city, inflicting heavy losses upon them in personnel and equipment.
The source added that another army unit in cooperation with the popular defense groups killed and injured a number of terrorists affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra who attempted to attack the military posts at al-Satehiyat area.
The army units in cooperation with the popular defense groups thwarted terrorist organizations’ attempt to attack Khnaifes, al-Satehiyat and al-Ramliyeh areas in the countryside of Salamiyeh.
Meanwhile, terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra targeted with RPG rounds an ambulance on Khnaifes-al-Satehiyat roundabout in the western countryside of Salamiyeh, injuring its crew and causing big damage to it.
Later, the Syrian Air Force and army artillery directed intensive strikes at the gatherings of Jabhat al-Nusra in Tlol al-Homr to the west of Salamiyeh on the administrative border lines with Homs province, according to SANA’s reporter.
The reporter said that due to the strikes 3 vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns were destroyed, in addition to killing a number of terrorist including Mitaeb al-Saloum, Walid Ibrahim, Adnan Abdul-Qadir al-Mohamed, Issam Bahri, Faysal Abu Khaled, and Matshar al-Matiri from Saudi Arabia.
Homs
Twenty-three Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists were killed as the army foiled an attempt by terrorists to block Homs-Salamiya road.
The army targeted with airstrikes and artillery movement axes of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists on Ezzeddin-alQuneitrat axis while they attempted to block the road.
Field commanders affiliated to the terrorist organization were identified among those killed in the army’s operation, and five vehicles with heavy machineguns mounted onto them were destroyed.
