Damascus, SANA- Temperatures remain lower than average from 3 to 5 degrees in most areas as the country is affected by a superficial high air pressure accompanied by western air current in all layers of the atmosphere.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Tuesday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy in general; rain showers are expected in various areas, while snow is expected in the mountainous heights. The weather will be cold in most areas.
The Meteorology Department warned against formation of frost, ice and fog in the mountains and the inland areas.
The winds are western of low and moderate speed, while the sea waves will be of low amplitude.
The rain amounts during the past 24 hours till 7 o’clock in a number of provinces, according to the rain bulletin issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reforms, were as follows: 5mm in Damascus, 20mm in Quneitra, 34mm in Homs,
40mm in Hama, 43mm in Tartous, 62mm in Lattakia and 6mm in Aleppo.
The expected temperatures in some main Syrian cities were as follows: Damascus 08/04, Daraa 10/05, Homs 11/06, Lattakia 14/10, Aleppo 09/03 and Deir Ezzor 11/03.
