Cereals Establishment sends 500 tons of wheat to Aleppo

Damascus, SANA – The General Establishment for Cereal Processing and Trade announced on Tuesday that 500 tons of wheat were sent to Aleppo to enhance the province’s strategic stockpiles.

The General Director of the Establishment told SANA that the wheat shipment arrived in Aleppo today coming from Tartous province, adding that more shipments of wheat will be sent to Aleppo successively.

On Monday, large amounts of diesel, petrol and various materials entered Aleppo city.

Aleppo Governor Dr. Mohammad Marwan Olabi said that dozens of tankers loaded with diesel and petrol emptied their loads at the gas stations which began distribution.

Olabi explained that Aleppo’s markets were supplied with different materials and supervisory patrols were conducted to ensure that there is no monopoly, adding that tough punishment would be taken against manipulators.

He affirmed that various materials continue arriving to the province within the framework of the government’s interest in locals in Aleppo and providing them with their needs.
