Updated-Tuesday weather forecast: Hot weather, temperatures above average to reach its highest point next Thursday

Damascus, SANA- Temperatures remain 5 to 8 degrees above average as the country is affected by an Indian seasonal low air pressure accompanied by low air pressure in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

The Meteorology Department expected in its Tuesday bulletin that the weather will be hot and the skies will be clear in general with some scattered clouds while the weather will be misty in the eastern and al-Badiya areas.

The wind will be northwesterly of light speed and the sea waves will be low in amplitude.

In a statement to SANA, the forecaster Hassan Jardi clarified that the temperatures will continue to rise within the next days as the country is under the influence of Indian superficial seasonal low air pressure.

He pointed that temperatures will reach its highest point next Thursday and expected to continue till next Friday and Saturday where the hot weather will prevail in most areas and the temperatures will be 10 degrees above average.

He highlighted that the temperatures will decrease gradually from next Monday until the end of June in the southern, western and coastal areas, while it will remain high in the eastern and al-Badiya areas.

The expected temperatures in the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 39/23, Daraa 38/21, Homs 41/23, Lattakia 37/22, Aleppo 40/23 and Deir Ezzor 43/27.
