Russia denies media claims about Russian warplane being shot down south of Aleppo

Moscow, SANA The Russian Defense Ministry denied reports by some media outlets about a Russian warplane being shot down by terrorists south of Aleppo city.

In a statement on Sunday, Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said that all the Russian Aerospace Forces aircrafts are currently in their posts in Hmeimim Airbase in Lattakia countryside, and that the reports about shooting down a Russian warplane are nothing more than a rumor circulated by some Western media outlets and the so-called “Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.”
