Tehran, SANA- Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said that Iran supports the intra-Syrian dialogue in Geneva and the cessation of hostilities in Syria.
“The terrorist groups in Syria have committed many violations of the cessation of hostilities,” Abdullahian said during his meeting with Czech Deputy Foreign Minister Martin Tlapa in Tehran on Monday.
The Iranian Diplomat called on the international community to act seriously to fight terrorism.
He affirmed Iran’s readiness to cooperate with the United Nations to push forward the process of the intra-Syrian dialogue and to expedite shipment of emergency supplies to Syria.
For his part, the Czech official, expressed support for political solution to end the crisis in Syria, saying that Syrian people should be allowed to decide their own fate.
He said that the nationwide parliamentary elections held in Syria last week was a major manifestation of democratic process that help the people determine their own destiny.
