Moscow, SANA – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Wednesday he exchanged views with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier on means to prevent breaching of the cessation of hostilities agreement in Syria.
“We welcome the intra-Syrian dialogue in Geneva…we want it to be all-inclusive,” said Lavrov, speaking at a joint press conference in Moscow.
He added that during talks with Steinmeier stress was placed on the necessity to ensure the conditions to allow the intra-Syria dialogue in Geneva to continue.
Lavrov expressed hope that the opposition will represent all spectrum of the Syrian people.
Steinmeier, for his part, said the crisis in Syria should be solved politically and by enhancing efforts to achieve that end, welcoming the international efforts to help the intra-Syria dialogue be successful.
He added that unprecedented progress has been made to the effect of settling the crisis in Syria through reaching an international will to find a solution for the crisis.
