Saturday weather: temperatures to drop, rainfalls expected

Damascus, SANA- The temperatures will considerably drop, yet they will remain slightly above average as the country is being affected by a low air pressure in all layers of the atmosphere accompanied by a relatively cold and wet air mass.

The Meteorology Department expected in its Saturday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy to rainy in most areas, and heavy rainfalls accompanied by thunder sometimes are expected over the coastal, northern, inland and al-Jazeera areas.

The wind will be easterly to southwesterly with active gusts and the sea waves will be medium in height.

Tomorrow, the skies will be cloudy to rainy and rain showers are expected in different areas while the temperatures will continue to drop to become around average.

Different amounts of rainfalls were registered in the Syrian provinces over the past 24 hours as follows: 16 mm in Lattakia, 16 mm in Tartous, 15 mm in Hama, 10 mm in Homs, 5 mm in Quneitra and 3mm in Hasaka.

The expected temperatures in the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 05/16, Daraa 17/4, Homs 15/2, Hama 16/2, Hasaka 15/3, Lattakia 18/10, Aleppo 16/2and Deir Ezzor 20/3.
