Syria, Czech to boost industrial cooperation

Damascus, SANA- Minister of Industry Kamal-Eddin Tou’meh discussed on Monday with the Czech Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs Martin Tlaba and an accompanying delegation means of activating economic, trade and industrial relations between Syria and Czech Republic.

During the meeting, Minister Toumeh stressed the need for the Czech participation in reconstruction projects, briefing the visiting delegation on what was destroyed by terrorism of institutions and establishments, especially in the industrial sector which needs to be rebuilt in a developed way with the help of friendly countries, including Czech Republic.

He proposed the possibility of preparing a draft memo of understanding, including new projects and studying methods of financing them like a Czech credit line to fund the aspired-for projects.

In turn, Tlaba said that his country seeks to provide the Syrians with their basic needs, considering that the projects suggested by the Industry Minister are will be studied by his country’s government.
