Homs, SANA – An Iftar banquet was held on Sunday at Umm al-Zinnar Church in Homs attended by a number of Muslim and Christian clergymen and political figures.
Minister of Social Affairs Dr. Kinda al-Shammat said Syrians are united in the face of terrorism and sectarian sedition, hailing the efforts and sacrifices of the Syrian army in defense of security and stability of the homeland.
For his part, Homs Governor Talal al-Barazi expressed gratitude for the sacrifices of the Syrian army, stressing that national reconciliation process is ongoing in many areas.
In turn, Archbishop of Homs for the Roman Orthodox George Abu Zakham said .. Homs will remain firm despite all events and regardless of all challenges.
