Damascus, SANA- In cooperation with Rawaq al- Urafi NGO, Ministry of Culture organized Sunday in the garden of Damascus National Museum a cultural activity with the participation of 100 children and youths.
The activity, dubbed “Greetings to Palmyra”, included an introductory tour to elucidate to the participants about the types of the stony monuments in the Museum’s garden and their historical value.
The participants drew art paintings about their countries’ heritage and relics to be a greeting message to Palmyra which the terrorism couldn’t erase it from their hearts and memories.
The activity aims at acknowledging the children with the antiquities and the importance of preserving the Syrian heritage because Syria is the country of civilization, peace and amity, Assiatant of Culture Minister, Assam Abu Ghannam, asserted.
He added that such activity affirms that our culture still exists and the Syrians are still providing more tenders, pointing out to the necessity of defending Syria’s heritage and ruins during the terrorist War waged against it to destroy its civilization and ancient heritage.
