Terrorist rocket attacks in Damascus and Harasta leave one civilian dead, 12 injured

Damascus, SANA- A civilian was killed and seven others were injured Tuesday in terrorist attacks with rocket shells on residential neighborhoods in Damascus.

A source at Damascus Police Command told SANA that ten rocket shells fired by terrorists landed on the residential neighborhoods of al-Mezzeh, Masaken Barzeh, al-Mazra’aa and al-Jahez Park, leaving a civilian dead and injuring 7 others.

The attacks also caused material damage in a number of houses, shops and cars.

A source at al-Mowasat Hospital told SANA reporter that the hospital has received 8 injured civilians including 6 children, indicating that one of the injured civilian died of his wounds.

Later, five civilians were injured in a terrorist mortar attack in Harasta suburb near Damascus.

The source said seven mortar shells smashed into houses and shops in the suburb, leaving five citizens injured, one of them a baby girl of less than 1 year of age.

The source added that the attack also caused material damage to a number of houses, shops and cars in the area.

On Monday, 23 civilians were killed while scores were injured in terrorists’ rocket attacks against residential neighborhoods of Aleppo city.
