Damascus, SANA – The Cabinet discussed on Tuesday a number of economic and services issues, including providing aid and services to displaced people who had fled their homes in Idleb province in fear of terrorists.
The Cabinet also approved forming a committee for developing economic policies and coordinating between ministries.
Chairing the weekly Cabinet session, Prime Minister Wael al-Halaqi called for focusing resources to market the current season’s wheat and barley crops, noting that the total sum for purchasing the crops is SYP 80 billion.
He also called for following up on the conditions of people displaced from Hama province, and preparing legislations for small and medium-sized projects.
In turn, Deputy Prime Minister for Services Affairs, Local Administration Minister Omar Ghalawanji reviewed the steps taken to provide aid to people from Ariha who fled the town in fear of terrorists, in addition to relief efforts targeting the people of al-Faw’a and Kafr Rayya towns.
Also, the Cabinet reviewed a bill on ratifying the cooperation agreement signed in February 9th 2015 between Syria and Belarus, a bill on rental laws, and a memo on the state of grain reserves.
