SARC: Daraa is suffering from water crisis due to terrorist attacks

Daraa, SANA- Daraa is suffering from water crisis due to the continuous terrorist attacks against water resources in the western area of the province, Ahmad al-Masalima, head of Daraa branch of Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) said on Wednesday.

During a meeting with SARC officials in the province and a delegation from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), al-Masalima pointed out that the branch is seeking to work out suitable solutions for the water crisis through maintenance operations and by distributing water and water tankers to the neighborhoods to provide the minimum amount of water for citizens.

The Drinking Water Institution had announced on Monday that it resumed pumping water to around 400, 000 population in the southern Daraa province after a 10-day power outage caused by terrorist attacks.
