Acting Minister of Health conducts an inspection tour of the Red Crescent Hospital

Damascus, SANA- Acting Minister of Health, Dr. Maher al-Sharaa, has conducted an inspection tour of the General Authority of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent Hospital to review the workflow and ensure the availability of essential supplies.

The tour covered the emergency, radiology, and central emergency laboratory departments, as well as the dialysis unit, clinics, intensive care units, surgical operations, and general surgery.

Dr. Al-Sharaa listened to the medical and technical staff regarding the hospital’s primary needs, the obstacles and challenges impeding operations, and the difficulties faced by the staff.

Dr. Khaled Moussa, the hospital director, emphasized the importance of the visit to monitor the hospital’s operations and needs, particularly in emergency and intensive care units, focusing on securing all necessary resources.

During a meeting following the tour, Dr. al-Sharaa explained that all health facilities in Syria face a significant shortage of equipment and supplies. The ministry is currently working to address this shortage through cooperation with international organizations and associations.

He noted that this visit is part of ongoing regular inspections of health facilities aimed at enhancing their standards, providing quality healthcare services to citizens, and ensuring full readiness around the clock.
