Hama, SANA- In celebration of the 14th anniversary of the blessed Syrian Revolution, thousands gathered Saturday evening in Al-Assi Square in the city of Hama for a jubilant event under the banner: “Peace Prevails, Hope Renewed.”

The crowd chanted slogans honoring the souls of the noble martyrs, whose immense sacrifices and remarkable heroism paved the way for liberation and victory against the ousted regime. They called for continuing the collective efforts of all citizens to reap the fruits of this glorious revolution by rebuilding the nation and strengthening its security and stability.

Participants carried placards expressing support for the military and security campaigns led by the Ministry of Defense and Public Security to eradicate the remnants and militias of the criminal regime—steps that contribute to reinforcing security and establishing a foundation for peace and stability across the entire homeland.

Demonstrators emphasized that this historic day is more than just a triumph over oppression and the closing of a chapter on crime and tyranny embodied by the deposed regime. It marks the beginning of a new era of civil peace and societal harmony among all components of the Syrian people.

Sheikh Abdul Nasser Alwan described the magnificent Syrian Revolution of the great Syrian people as a revolution of building both humanity and the nation, achieved through the perseverance and determination of the steadfast heroes of this noble society.

Metropolitan Nicolas Baalbaki, Archbishop of Hama for the Greek Orthodox Church, stated that March 15th is a glorious day in Syria’s history. He highlighted how, after decades of oppression, injustice, and tyranny, the great Syrian people rose in unison against the oppressive despot. He noted that the Syrian people demonstrated through this revolution their authenticity, humanity, and unity across all spectrums—a people of high values, noble ethics, and lofty principles.

Hama Governor Abdul Rahman al-Sahiyan affirmed that the anniversary of the blessed Syrian Revolution will remain eternal in the hearts and consciousness of the people, who, through their sacrifices and resilience, achieved victory over the tyrant and his corrupt and criminal regime that had oppressed the Syrians for decades.

Bakr Shaqaqi, head of the political bureau, declared, “We are gathered here in this square, which witnessed the sacrifice of many martyrs who fell at the hands of the criminal regime, giving their lives for freedom and dignity. Today, we proclaim: No to a dark past, and yes to a new era of rebuilding Syria.”
