Celebrating the 14th anniversary of the Syrian Revolution receives wide media coverage

Damascus, SANA-The celebration of the 14th anniversary of the Syrian revolution received extensive media coverage in Arab and international media outlets, as well as on numerous social media platforms.

The aim of media coverage was to document and convey this historic moment, marking the Syrian people’s first celebration of the anniversary of the revolution after the fall of the tyrant Bashar al-Assad’s regime.

Al Jazeera correspondent al-Hajj affirmed to SANA the importance of the Syrian people participating in this great celebration by covering it and presenting it to the world.

Abdullah conveyed the overwhelming joy on the faces of the participants, who had previously been subjected to bombing and barrel bombs, while today we witness the same aircraft dropping flowers. He noted that what was a dream before December 8 has now become a reality that Syrians are experiencing with joy and overwhelming happiness.

Adham Azjan of the Turkish Anadolu Agency considered his presence today in Umayyad Square not only to cover these historic moments, but also to celebrate with the Syrians the victory of their revolution. He explained that the agency has been keen to witness and monitor the Syrian revolution from its first day until liberation, arriving today to broadcast these beautiful scenes from the square, as citizens of all backgrounds gathered in a wonderful atmosphere accompanied by the roar of planes dropping flowers.

Alan Haj Ahmed, a reporter from the Euphrates News Agency, said that his journalistic coverage of the event is part of his celebration of this day, on which Syrians declared their rejection of tyrants and criminals. He noted that everyone he met today during his coverage of the event emphasized the importance of unity, rejecting sectarianism, and promoting justice and equality.

For his part, TRT correspondent Alaa Eddin Ghachar stressed his channel’s commitment to covering this historic event, just as it has covered the events of the Syrian revolution since 2011. He noted that during its coverage of the Syrian events, his channel did not merely transmit news for the sake of reporting, but rather placed a significant role on the humanitarian aspect by conveying the suffering of Syrians from various regions.

Mohammed Al-Sultan, a former correspondent in northern Syria, said that this historic event requires extensive media coverage, especially since this is the first Ramadan the Syrian people have experienced without the Assad family.
