Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemns attacks on Syrians in Iraq

Damascus, SANA- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the attacks on Syrians in Iraq, considering these actions a violation of human rights and international law.

In a statement published on its Telegram channel Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: “We affirm our full support for our people and call on the esteemed Iraqi government to hold the perpetrators of these crimes accountable and take all necessary measures to ensure the safety and security of Syrians residing in Iraq.”

In this context, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized working closely with the Iraqi government to address these violations, and to take quick and effective measures to prevent any further breaches.

The Ministry expressed its confidence in the Iraqi government’s ability to impose the rule of law and protect all communities within its territory.
