Syria’s al-Wahada second in Jordan’s West Asian Basketball Championship

Amman, SANA – The Syrian al-Wahda basketball team won the second place in the finals of the West Asian Basketball Clubs Championship for women.

Al-Wahda beat Jordan’s al-Orthodoxi team 81-52 in a match held Thursday.

This is its third successive win in the championship, which is being held in Jordan’s capital Amman.

Al-Wahda lost one game and came in the second place following Lebanon’s al-Riyadi team, which won the championship’s title.

Elissa Mardikyan of al-Wahda won Best Player title in the championship, while Sulaf Khalil won Best Player title in the match against the al-Orthodoxi team.
