A blaze west of Mayamas village in Sweida extinguished

Sweida /SANA – Salkhad Firefighting Brigade and the Civil Defense Directorate, in cooperation with the residents, dozed the flames in fruit tree orchards in the village of Mayamas.

“The fire spread over an area of about 20 dunums in the agricultural lands west of the village causing damage to apple and grape orchards” commander of the Sweida Fire Brigade, Fadi al-Dawoud, said in a statement to  SANA.

Al-Dawoud confirmed that the firefighting men controlled the fire and worked to cool the area to ensure that the fire does not flare up again.
