Syria strongly condemns terrorist attack against National Museum in Tunisia

Damascus , SANA – Syria on Thursday vehemently condemned the terrorist attack launched yesterday on the Tunisian National Bardo Museum, expressed solidarity with the brotherly country of Tunisia and offered condolences to the families of the victims.

Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said in a statement that this terrorist criminal act proves all over again that terrorism does not belong to a certain religion or homeland, thus Syria reiterates its call for concerting all regional and international efforts in accordance with the international legitimacy to eliminate terrorism, which constitutes a threat to peace, security and stability all over the world.

Earlier Wednesday, a terrorist attack committed by two Tunisian gunmen at National Bardo Museum in Tunis, killing 19 people including 17 foreigners and injuring 44 others.

The UNSC condemned the terrorist attack and stressed in a statement the need ” to bring perpetrators, organizers, financiers and sponsors of these reprehensible acts of terrorism to justice.”

Earlier Thursday, Lebanese Hezbullah, also, condemned the terrorist attack in Tunisia.
