The UN reaffirms that occupied Golan is a Syrian sovereignty

New-York, SANA-The United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution affirming the permanent sovereignty of the Syrians on the occupied Syrian Golan, and the Palestinian people on the occupied Palestinian territories and its natural resources.

The General Assembly adopted resolution entitled “Permanent sovereignty for the Palestinian people on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and for the Syrians on the occupied Syrian Golan over their natural resources,” with a majority of 158 countries.

The resolution reaffirmed the inalienable rights of the Syrians in the occupied Syrian Golan and of the Palestinian people to their natural resources, including land, water, and energy resources.

In its resolution, the United Nations General Assembly called on the Israeli occupation authorities to stop exploiting the natural resources in the occupied Golan and in the occupied Palestinian territory, including Jerusalem.
