President al-Assad receives Ardzinba : Conditions worldwide are in place for creating new international alliances

Damascus-SANA- President Bashar al-Assad received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Inal Ardzinba, and they discussed a number of issues of common concern and steps that contribute to advancing bilateral relations despite the harsh circumstances targeting the two states.

President al-Assad stressed that the conditions in the world are better prepared for movements based on independent national policies to strengthen existing international alliances, and to create new international political, economic, and intellectual alliances that are strong enough to confront Western hegemony.

Ardzinba expressed to President al-Assad his country’s gratitude for the support provided by Syria to Abkhazia, highlighting that developing relations between the two countries at all levels is one of the most important aims of his visit to Syria.
