Syria, Iran sign several agreements

Tehran, SANA- Syria and Iran signed a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding, that came during the meetings of the Joint Higher Committee currently held in Tehran.

Prime Minister eng. Hussein Arnous, and,First Vice President of Iran, Dr. Muhammad Mokhber, signed the minutes of the protocol of the meetings of the Syrian-Iranian Joint Higher Committee.

The agreements included an annex to the Syrian-Iranian Free Trade Agreement signed between the two countries in 2011, a memo of understanding for cooperation between the Central Bank of Syria and the Central Bank of Iran, a memo of understanding in the domain of tourism, in addition to another for cooperation in the field of antiquities, museums, and in the field of sports.

The al-Assad Library in the Syrian Arab Republic and the Documentation Organization and the National Library in the Islamic Republic of Iran signed a memo of understanding .

The aforementioned memorandums were signed on the Syrian side Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Dr. Muhammad Samer al-Khalil, Governor of the Central Bank of Syria, Dr. Muhammad Issam Hazma, and Thuraya Al-Adlabi, Assistant Chairman of the Planning and International Cooperation Authority.
