UN: 5,544 Palestinian housing units completely destroyed by Israeli occupation attacks on Gaza Strip

Geneva, SANA-The United Nations announced that the Israeli occupation forces have completely destroyed 5,544 housing units in Gaza Strip, as a result of their continuous attacks on it.

“The Israeli forces destroyed more than 1,300 buildings and 5,544 housing units in Gaza Strip, and caused about 3,750 other housing units with severe damage to the point that they were no longer habitable”, AFP quoted the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs as saying in a statement Saturday.

The Israeli air force has been bombing Gaza Strip with hundreds of tons of bombs, including internationally banned ones, since the beginning of its aggression last Saturday, causing thousands of deaths and injuries, destroying hundreds of homes and displacing tens of thousands of civilians.
