Temperatures to drop, rains expected over some regions

Damascus, SANA- As the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure accompanied by southwesterly air currents in the upper parts of atmosphere, temperatures will continue to drop to become below average, yet it will be above average in the eastern regions.

The skies will be cloudy to partly cloudy in general with an opportunity for thundershowers over the coastal and northwestern regions, at night, the weather will be cold over the mountains and fog is expected over the central regions, according to Meteorological Department.

The wind will westerly to southwesterly with low to a moderate speed and some active gusts that exceeds 60km/h over the central and southern regions, while the sea waves will be medium in amplitude.

The expected temperatures in some Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 27/16, Daraa 26/17, Homs 23/16, Hasaka29/18, Tartous 28/21, Aleppo 28/16, Deir Ezzor 32/20.
