Syria, Iran to enhance bilateral cooperation in various areas

Damascus, SANA- Speaker of the People’s Assembly Hammoudeh Sabbagh received Iranian Ambassador to Syria, Hossein Akbari and congratulated him upon assuming his duties in Damascus, wishing him success in his new position.

During the meeting held Monday, Sabbagh highlighted the deep-rooted relations between the two friendly countries and stressed the need to boost them in various areas, notably between the People’s Assembly and the Islamic Consultative Assembly in Iran.

Akbari pointed out that the two countries accelerate the implementation of joint economic projects in the face of hostile plans against them.
