Syria, Bahrain discuss cooperation to help quake-affected people

Damascus, SANA- Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Louai al-Munajjid, discussed with the delegation of the Bahraini Royal Humanitarian Foundation team areas of cooperation and programs to help those affected by the earthquake disaster that struck the country last February.

During the meeting, the program (Guidance with Mercy) was discussed, which, through the team, trains a cadre of supervisors and specialists in the ministry in the psychological, educational and social fields.

The program includes a set of selective strategies to provide support in emergency situations, in order to complement the efforts made by Bahrain to provide support to affected families.

Minister al-Munajjid affirmed the Ministry’s permanent readiness to provide full support for the programs that the Foundation seeks to implement in Syria, to increase the number of beneficiaries from those affected by the earthquake and overcome the psychological, social and educational damages resulting from it.
