Tunisian President Appoints New Ambassador to Syria

Tunisia, SANA- Tunisia’s President Kais Saied has appointed a new ambassador to Syria, the Tunisian presidency stated in a statement.

President Saied supervised the handing over of credentials to Mohamed Al-Mahdhabi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tunisia to the Syrian Arab Republic, in the presence of Tunisian Foreign Minister Nabil Ammar, the statement said on Thursday.

Meeting Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Faysal Mikdad last week, President Saied attached great importance to unify the Arab stances to tackle common challenges and adversities.

Saied stressed that the Tunisian stance was and still defend the sovereignty and independence of all Arab countries, and the return of Inter- Arab relations to the levels of agreement and respect for the priorities that unite the people of this nation.
