Syria condemns Israeli practices against Palestinian captives

Damascus, SANA- Syria hailed the struggling and honorable stances of the Palestinian prisoners and detainees and their readiness to go on hunger strike, reiterating its condemnation of the practices and procedures of the Israeli occupation against them and its support to the Palestinian people in their struggle for freedom and independence.

“The government of the Syrian Arab Republic expresses its pride in the struggle and the honorable stances of our detained Palestinian brothers, holding mobilization sessions in preparation for the hunger strike scheduled on the first day of the blessed month of Ramadan under the title The Volcano of Freedom, otherwise Martyrdom.” The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates stated Thursday.

This move came in response to the announcement of the so-called “the administration of Israeli prison” to begin its abusive measures against the Palestinian prisoners, namely, reducing drinking water and depriving them of necessary medical care.

The ministry expressed Syria’s firm support to the Palestinian people and their struggle to restore their rights of freedom and independence.

On the other hand, the ministry strongly condemned the fascist practices and procedures of the Israeli Occupation against the Palestinian captives in violation of the international law and human rights.
