Damascus, SANA- Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Fayssal Mikdad affirmed the correct polices of Syria towards internal situation in the country and its central issue, the Palestinian cause.
“The shy awakening of some western officials and changing their thoughts towards events in Syria, undoubtedly show correctness of Syria’s strategies and its honorable struggle in defense of its people’s convictions… an issue which was represented by the flow of foreign delegations into Syria, including popular and official delegations from France, Pakistan, India and America,” Mikdad said in an article published by Lebanese al-Binaa newspaper on Saturday.
He added that stances taken by some European states towards Syria in support of terrorist organizations, including Jabhat al-Nusra and the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), have stirred the public opinions in countries like France and directly led to encouraging some extremist organizations to perpetrate crimes in Paris and other French cities.
Mikdad went on to say that the French Parliamentarian’s delegation visit to Syria and the meetings it held with Syrian leadership indicate the range of the French leadership’s isolation where public polls showed that the people have no confidence in the French leadership and its supporters won’t exceed 11%.
He added those who adopt counter-terrorism resolutions at UN Security Council and then contradict them on land, and gives cover to Turkey and Saudi Arabia to fund and arm terrorists who kill the Syrian and Iraqi people are part of a universal conspiracy on free people of Asia, Africa and Latin America.
