Brasilia, SANA- Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva refused to send ammunition for artillery and tanks to Ukraine.
That came following Lula da Silva’s meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who is visiting Brazil.
“Brazil is not interested in sending ammunition to be used in the war between Ukraine and Russia. Brazil is a country of peace and at the present time it is necessary to find those who want peace, and this word has been used very little so far,” Lula da Silva was quoted by Novosti as saying.
Earlier, media reports mentioned that the Brazilian government had rejected a German request to send ammunition for Leopard tanks to Germany to be delivered to Ukraine.
