The US founded NATO to expand its influence in Europe, says Wallace

Belfast, SANA-  The US established NATO at the end of the forties of the last century, with the aim of expanding its influence in Europe, according to Mick Wallace, Member of the European Parliament for Ireland.

“The United States formed NATO to keep the countries of Europe subservient to American imperialism,” Wallace was quoted by Novosti News Agency as saying.

He stressed that politicians should start representing the interests of the people and stop representing NATO and the military industrial complex.

The diplomat stressed that people want peace and an end to the proxy war waged by the United States and NATO.
