Singapore, SANA – Syria’s Olympic football team won 2-1 against Singaporean counterpart in a friendly match in Singapore.
The match was held in the framework of the two teams’ preparations for AFC U-23 Asian Cup.
In another friendly match last Wednesday, the Syrian team beat Singapore’s 6-1.
Earlier, the Olympic team also met the hosting Indonesian team twice. The result of the first match was a 1-1 draw, while Syria achieved a 3-0 win in the second.
The matches were part of training camps for the Syrian Olympic teams outside the country in preparation for Asian Cup qualifiers.
The Syrian team will return to Damascus for a training camp and then will depart to another camp in Kuwait to play friendly matches there.
Following that, the Syrian team will head to Bangladesh which will be hosting the AFC U-23 Asian Cup, where it will compete in Group 5 which includes Uzbekistan, India, and Bangladesh.
