Death toll in Somalia explosions climbs to 120, Agencies

Mogadishu, SANA-The number of people killed in the October 29 attack by militants from “the Al-Shabaab group” on Somalia’s Education Ministry in Mogadishu has risen to 120 with another 320 injured, Reuters reported on Monday citing the country’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.

Earlier, the Sky News Arabia TV channel reported 30 casualties in twin car bomb explosions in front of the ministry carried out by suicide bombers and in an ensuing shootout between the militants and security services in the agency’s building.

Somalia’s Shabelle Media Network reported that the airlines of Qatar, Turkey and Ethiopia had cancelled their Saturday flights to Mogadishu over possible terror attacks.
