It is important for Syrian expatriates to participate in reconstruction process, Ambassador Mayya

Muscat, SANA- Syria’s Ambassador for sultanate of Oman Dr. Idris Mayya affirmed that attention to the affairs of the Syrian expatriates constitutes a priority in the Syrian foreign policy, underlining the necessity of the expatriates’ participation in the reconstruction of what has been destroyed by terrorist organizations.

During his meeting with the Syrian community in the Sultanate, Dr. Mayya reviewed the latest developments in the political and economic arenas in the country and noted to the deep- rooted Syrian Omani relations and the importance of boosting and consolidating the economic and trade ties, with him pointing out to many steps and measures taken by both sides to facilitate and develop these relations and open investment horizons for those interested.

For their part, the Syrian community affirmed their readiness to provide whatever required to drive development forward in the country, noting the enormous sacrifices made by the Syrian Arab Army in its ongoing battle to protect and preserve the capabilities of the homeland.
