Russian MoD: Kyiv Regime prepares to blow up thermal power plant to blame Russian military

Moscow, SANA- The Kyiv authorities are preparing to blow up Kryvyi Rih thermal power plant in in order to accuse the Russian forces of creating an energy and humanitarian crisis, Head of the National Defense Management Center of Russia Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev.

“It has been reliably established that the Kyiv regime has prepared and is trying to implement another provocation to accuse the Russian Armed Forces of destroying the most important elements of Ukraine’s life support and creating an energy and humanitarian crisis on the territory of the country,” Mizintsev was quoted by Novosti Agency as saying.

The colonel-general revealed the details of the criminal action of the Kyiv regime: “to implement it, the Ukrainian command purposefully deployed its armed formations at the Krivoy Rog thermal power plant (Zelenodolsk, Dnipropetrovsk region), from the territory of which artillery units and MLRS daily (since June 24, 2022) carry out access to firing positions, carry out systematic shelling of the northern regions of the Kherson region and take cover at the power plant, provoking Russian troops to return fire.”

According to Mizintsev, “the actions of the Ukrainian authorities once again demonstrate the readiness of the Kyiv regime to sacrifice the well-being of its citizens for the sake of another loud provocation.”

“It is possible that, having failed to provoke the Russian Armed Forces to strike at the thermal power plant, Ukrainian nationalists themselves can blow up the elements of the power plant and present to the world community fake evidence of a strike by Russian troops,” he added.

Mizintsev noted that in case of destroying this thermal plant, the population of most central regions of Ukraine and hundreds of vital facilities will remain without electricity.
